What should I expect when I come to South Bay Baptist?
South Bay Baptist Church is made up families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds. We are community of people who are committed to loving Christ and one another. As a church, we understand the importance of reaching out to our community, serving others and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. And that is what we strive to do!

If you visit us, you will find a warm and welcoming atmosphere of Spirit-filled individuals who will encourage you in your walk with Jesus Christ.

What is the history behind SBBC?
South Bay Baptist Church began in 1954 as a church plant of College Ave. Baptist. We are located in the heart of Chula Vista, CA surrounded by many single family homes, apartments and public schools. Our campus consists of three buildings all dedicated to serving the needs of the people in the South Bay.

What are some of the ministries you offer at South Bay to the church and community?
SBBC has a Pre-School located on site,  Youth Ministry program. In addition, we also have offer Women’s and Men’s ministry, Bible Studies, and Homeless Feedings. Check the calendar for times and dates.

Does South Bay Baptist affiliate with any of the Baptist Conferences?
Our church is associated with the Southwest District of the Baptist General Conference.

How many people attend your services?
Currently the attendance on Sundays is about 120 people meeting in one service.
